Description
The FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Standard is a powerful compressed-air rifle with a traditional design. The most striking feature is the apparent absence of an air reservoir, which gives the FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Standard a sleek, low-profile design, as the air reservoir is mounted around the barrel like a barrel jacket. A solution that gives the FX a minimalist appearance with very clean lines.
The FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Standard is packed with the latest technology in the field of compressed-air rifles. And, of course, it comes as standard with a range of fine-tuning options, from an externally adjustable regulator to an adjustable hammer spring preload.
The compressed air reservoir is integrated into the barrel jacket. There is no longer a cylinder or bottle beneath the barrel, which has the advantage of making the overall profile of the compressed air rifle considerably lower. This causes less interference when assuming the shooting position, but also means that transporting and storing the FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Standard takes up less space. The reservoir has a capacity of 260 cc.
To ensure that the FX DRS fires every shot at a consistent pressure, this compressed-air rifle is fitted with an AMP MKII regulator. This regulator is externally adjustable, making it easy to fine-tune the pressure perfectly to suit the pellet or slug being used. This ensures the highest possible accuracy and guarantees ultimate shot consistency.
By removing the stock, the spring preload of the hammer spring can be adjusted. If you give the hammer more spring preload, the valve will stay open longer, allowing a greater amount of air to pass through. Conversely, a lower hammer spring preload gives a shorter passage time. You can experiment with this, so that you keep a driving pressure behind the projectile in the barrel for as long as possible, without creating a disruptive overpressure when leaving the barrel that can cause imbalance.
The 25cc plenum is the air reservoir between the regulator and the valve. It stores the regulated compressed air that is used in its entirety for a single projectile.
The Superior STX barrel system has a removable liner in the barrel that features pulls and pitches pressed in through the outside. This gives the inside of the liner a very smooth surface and nicely flowing pulls and fields. All this ensures minimal drag and a good seal around the pellet or slug. With this MKII version, the liner can be removed and changed without having to release pressure from the surrounding barrel jacket.
The Synthetic Standard has a maintenance-free synthetic stock, featuring a soft-touch coating that provides an excellent grip even in wet conditions.
To get the very best out of the FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Standard, it features a fully adjustable trigger. This allows you to set the trigger exactly as you wish, so that the feel matches your shooting style perfectly. Both the first and second stages are adjustable, and the trigger blade can be adjusted for both distance and height, as well as rotated for perfect ergonomics.
A standard-fit 30 MOA Weaver/Picatinny scope rail provides a secure mounting base for a wide range of rifle scopes. As the rail is tilted forwards by 30 MOA, a mounted rifle scope will retain a greater adjustment range when shooting at longer ranges.
With the magazine in place, it is simply a matter of pulling back the very smooth tensioning lever on the right side to load the FX DRS through. And to replenish the air supply, there is a filler hole on the right side into which you very easily insert a filler nipple.
